Sahib Shrine 2009 Treasurer

At the Annual Stated Meeting on December 2, 2010, Treasurer Dale LaBell was re-elected our Treasurer for 2010.

Dale was born in Wyndotte Michigan. He has been married for 44 years to Donna and they have three children and two grandchildren. Dale and Donna live in Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton.

Dales work life started at Detroit Edison Co., in Detroit Michigan (1953 to 1965), were he progressed from line crew to Analyst and Procedures Supervisor. During this time (1955-1957,) Dale served in U.S. Army, and was a Specialist 3rd Class in Radio Communications. Then he went to MetLife Insurance Co. (1965 to 1998,) where he started as insurance salesman and rose through the ranks to Vice-President of Sales in State of Michigan. He received Charter Life Under Writer Degree from American College Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania and was Licensed – Life, Health, Property & Casualty, Securities Series 7, 63 & 26. He retired in September 1998.

Dales Masonic life currently includes belonging to Sarasota Masonic Lodge No. 147, Trinity Commandery No. 16, Venice Council No. 41 and Sarasota Chapter No. 35 – York Rite. In 2002, Dale was our 1st Ceremonial Master and was just recently elected the 2003 Commodore in the Mariners Unit.
