Sahib Shrine 2009 Chief Rabban

At the Annual Stated Meeting on December 2, 2009, Chief Rabban Don Vos was elected our Potentate for 2010.

Don lives in the Meadows with Lady Carol. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and graduated from West Michigan University. He served in the Air Force.

They moved to Florida and started his irrigation business, which he has run for 24 years. Customers include: Ringling School of Art, Ringling Museum, the Asolo Theatre, Ritz Carlton Hotel and over 7,500 residential irrigation systems.

Don is a member of Sarasota Masonic Lodge No. 147. At Sahib, he is a member of the Mariners, Hillbilly Clan #78, Manatee Shrine Club and the Gulf Shrine Club.

He has been a member of Rotary for many years and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He strongly believes in the Rotary Four-Way Test: "Is it true, is it fair to all concerned, will it build good will and better friendships and will it be beneficial to all concerned."
